Apple TV+ is Launching on November 1st at $4.99 Per Month

Apple is looking to diversify its business and enter into the service industry. First with Apple music streaming service now with Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade. Apple TV+ is Apple’s most anticipated streaming platform which was announced back in March during Apple’s Special Event. Ever since, there have been speculations about its price, compatibility, and availability. Apple has finally launched this service on 10th September during Apple’s iPhone launch event and put those speculations to the rest. The service will cost $4.99 per month in the USA and £4.99 in the UK and will be launched on 1st November. It was unexpected of Apple to price a product such low. At launch, there will be 9 Original shows right now, and Apple promises to add new shows every month.

Device Support and Availability

Apple TV+ is not going to have a standalone app; instead, it will sit inside the Apple TV app for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod Touch, and the latest macOS Catalina. Apart from Apple devices, Apple TV+ will be available on select Samsung Start TVs with Apple TV app. In addition, Apple TV+ is also going to available on Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony, and VIZIO in the future. Viewers can also log in to tv.apple.com to watch Apple TV+ contents on the web.

There is no hint of Apple TV+ coming to Android or other OS. It will be interesting to see if Apple changes its mind as they did with Apple Music by bringing it to Android, Chrome OS, and Windows.

Apple TV+ is all set to launch on November the 1st, and it will be available in more than 100 countries. Streaming services often struggle to expand to the international market, let alone launching in 100 countries on the 1st day. All the Original shows will be available in almost 40 languages along with subtitles for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people.
